How to reach the PALACIO DE CONGRESOS?

BY TRAIN

There are two main train stations within the city’s metropolitan area.

Valencia has its own city centre station for the local train network (cercanías), which consists of six lines that connect Valencia to Gandía, Mogente, Utiel, Xirivella, Caudiel and Castellón de la Plana.

Connections from the Estación del Norte: Metro: Xátiva station (lines 3 and 5). More info at www.metrovalencia.es Bus: Lines 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 14, 19, 35, 40 and 63 (bus stops close to the Plaza del Ayuntamiento).

From the high-speed train station, the AVE trains connect the city to Madrid, Cuenca and Albacete, with 17 daily departures and an approximate journey time of 1 hour 30 minutes. In addition, the Alaris and Euromed long-distance trains connect Valencia with Spain’s main cities.

INTERNET CORNER FACILITIES

A free wireless internet connection is available in the Exhibiton Foyer (ground floor). An Internet Corner with laptops will be also be available to all delegates during the Congress Exhibition Hours (ground floor).

All ECCEO11-IOF participants are invited to the Welcome Cocktail on Wednesday, March 23, 2011, 20:00 in the Exhibition area of the Palacio de Congresos.

BADGES

ACCOMPANYING PERSON

The registered participant must register his/her accompanying person at the registration desk and he/she will be issued a badge. The accompanying person’s badge includes admission to the Welcome Cocktail but does not allow access to the exhibition, scientific programme, satellite symposia and poster sessions.

CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE

A certificate of attendance may be printed at the self-printing stations available near the Registration area from Thursday March 24 afternoon to Saturday March 26. This system will issue your certificate with data from your electronic badge. Please ensure that you have your badge with you.

LANGUAGE

English will be the official language of the Congress. No translation is provided.

ACCREDITATION

The EACCME has granted XXX European CME credits (ECMEC) to the congress.

MEDIA

ECCEO11-IOF Congress will not provide a Media Centre, however Media representatives are free to use the Internet Corner available during Congress hours. More information can be found on www.ecceo11-iof.org/media

CLOAKROOM

A cloakroom service for clothing and reasonably sized items is available during the opening hours of the Congress. It is located by the Exhibition Foyer. Items of value should not be left in the cloakroom. Please make sure to collect all belongings at the end of each day.

LUNCHES, COFFEE ANd REFRESHMENTS

No official lunches or official coffee breaks will be provided. Coffee, beverages and snacks can be purchased from the Cafeteria points located across the Exhibition Area (ground and 2nd floor) and opened during Congress hours.

HOTEL INFORMATION DESK

The Hotel Desk is located in the Registration Area during Registration opening hours.

PARKING

The Conference Centre has a large underground car park with room for 600 cars and closed-circuit television monitored by our security service.

TAXI

A taxi station is located next to the Palacio de Congresos (Sorolla Palace Hotel)
